C2VLS™

Originally developed to run Sonar's mobile multi-media unit, Prometheus™, the C2 Virtual Learning System (VLS) is a proprietary software product which is controlled through a user-friendly touch-screen interface.

 

We believe that whenever technology is difficult to use–it becomes useless technology. After years of working alongside teachers, Sonar knows how to create software solutions which are easily integrated by today's educators into today's classrooms.

 

The software currently provides five (5) unique “channels” from which to deliver content: Programs, Presentation, DVD, Broadcast, and Interactive.

 

· The “Programs” channel offers movies in stereoscopic or regular format. It also plays interactive movies whose outcomes changes based on audience response. Students use wireless keypads to interact with the programs.

 

· The “Presentation” channel offers a selection of preloaded or custom-created PowerPoint-type educational presentations. Teachers can use Keyspan remotes to navigate through presentations.

 

· The “DVD” channel offers access to commercial and private content through familiar controls.

 

· The “Broadcast” channel allows access to the Internet, as well as streaming programming, from a variety of content providers.

 

· The “Interactive” channel contains a number of Sonar Studios-created applications, including a Nutrition Calculator and a number of Quizzing and Testing games to keep students engaged. Students vote and answer questions using wireless keypads, and results can be displayed for all to see. Teachers can even create their own content through an online interface and “sync” it to their Prometheus units for immediate classroom use.
