Prometheus™

As a 2010 TechPoint Mira Awards Finalist, Prometheus has been recognized as a landmark in educational technology. A 2009/2010 grant from the Department of Education was awarded for an ongoing study to place Prometheus units in 20 Indiana charter schools to monitor the effects on student engagement and learning.

What is Prometheus?

It's a portable, easy-to-use, interactive visualization tool that is suitable for any school with a standard power source. Its self-contained components can deliver stereoscopic video, hi-definition wide format video, interactive movies, PowerPoint and Keynote presentations, interactive quizzes and polls, DVD content, and it has media streaming capabilities.

Controlled through a simple touch-screen interface, Prometheus reduces the variables involved in bringing technological innovations directly into the classroom–providing a form of student engagement normally reserved for once-a-year trips to museums and making it an everyday standard.

Prometheus was developed as the result of years of experience providing content and technology solutions to teachers. Sonar understands the need to capture students' attention with cutting-edge technology and engaging content through tools that are easy to use for today's busy educators.
